The two person died in Kushtia general hospital with corona symptoms, while more 37 new patients found in a day.
The two person died are 56-year-old Sultana Rizia Banu, a union social worker in Kushtia Sadar Upazila Social Service Office and Bulbul Ahmed, 48, a resident of Kacharipara area of Bheramara upazila of the district.
However, the district health department said they are still scrutinizing the tested samples of the dead.
Sultana died on Sunday noon, while Bulbul Ahmed around 10pm on Saturday.
Resident Medical Officer of Kushtia General Hospital Tapash Kumar Sarkar said Sultana Rizia, wife of Mollah Fakir Ahmed of Courtpara area of Kushtia town, came to Kushtia General Hospital around 12pm on Friday with shortness of breath.
She was admitted to the isolation unit. Her samples were collected on Saturday morning. That night her corona was known to be positive. Banu died on Sunday (June 21) at around 12 noon.
Meanwhile, Asif Ahmed, son of the deceased Bulbul, said his father had been suffering from fever, cold and cough for a week. Shortness of breath occurred on Saturday evening. He was admitted to Kushtia General Hospital. He died at around 10 pm on the same day.
Dr. Tapas said samples of bulbul have also been collected.
Beside, giving a real threat Kushtia is in fluxing of Coronavirus. On Sunday (June 21), a record 37 corona were identified in one day. A total of 384 people were affected in Kushtia.
In the last 24 hours, 182 samples of Kushtia were tested in the PCR lab of Kushtia Medical College.
Among the victims, 14 new corona patients have been identified in Sadar upazila of Kushtia district, 6 in Kumarkhali upazila, 6 in Bheramara upazila, 6 in Daulatpur upazila and 5 in Mirpur upazila.
