A farmer was stabbed to death in Kushtia’s Daulatpur upazila.

Police said the incident was due to a family dispute.The deceased was identified as Abul Shahr, 55. He is a farmer by profession.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Daulatpur Police station SM Arifur Rahman, quoting eyewitnesses, said Shahr had a quarrel with his neighbor Moizuddin Shah over a marriage.

On Monday, while Shahr was working in the field next to his house, enraged Moizuddin hit Abul Shah in the stomach with a sharp weapon.

Abul Shah’s stomach and intestines came out and he was seriously injured. He was rescued and admitted to Kushtia Hospital.
He died on Tuesday (June 23) while undergoing treatment there.
The OC said he did not know the details of the incident. He said no party has filed case yet.
Meanwhile, the attackers Moizuddin Shah and his family members fled immediately after the incident. Police are deployed in the area to any unanted situation.
The attacker Moizuddin Shah is the son of Ratan Shah of the same area.
