YouTube is planning on launching a product for playing online games, as per a recent report by The Wall Street Journal. According to the report, YouTube’s parent company, which is Google, invited their employees to internally test an upcoming online games product, which is called ‘Playables’.
The Wall Street Journal report adds that this product called ‘Playables’ will have arcade games, for instance, Stack Bounce, though a full list is not known at this moment yet. The ‘Playables’ games can reportedly be played from the YouTube website on desktop web browsers and will be made available on Android or iOS mobile devices.
Neal Mohan, who is currently the CEO of YouTube, has been planning on integrating online gaming on YouTube for some time, the WSJ report claims. Since the new product is still in its testing stage, YouTube doesn’t plan on officially announcing it until it’s ready for the public.
