A group of foreign observers expressed their satisfaction over the vote casting. They expressed their opinion after observing some vote centers in Dhaka on Sunday.
They told that polling is going on in a transparent and peaceful environment.
A team of three foreign observers assessed the voting situation while talking to journalists after visiting the Darus Salam Bangladesh Korea Technical Training Center in the capital.
Deputy Head of Mission US STO Terry L. Islay told polling environment is good. People are coming to vote.
“Everything seemed fine. Hopefully, 50 percent of the votes will be cast,” he observed.
Another observer Nicholas Hupawall said “the polling environment was as peaceful and safe as I have seen. The observer said that free, fair and safe elections will be a milestone for democracy in Bangladesh. Our mandate is to monitor free, fair and secure voting. Liked what we saw.”
Nicholas expressed satisfaction with the presence of women voters. He said, women are voting. I saw a very large number. Women are exercising their vote.
German social activist and political analyst Volker U. Friedrich said that the voting is being conducted according to transparent rules. “I did not see any problem in taking votes.”
“We are happy to be here to watch the vote. We look forward to visiting many more polling stations. We will also be interested in the results of the polls.”
