Two children drowned in Hisna River in Khemirdia of Bheramara upazila of Kushtia. 

The incident took place today (Saturday, June 26) morning.

The victims are Mursalin, 6 and Abrar, 5. They are my cousins.

Mursalin’s father Zillur Rahman told that Mursalin and Abrar left the house unnoticed by everyone between 10-11 pm. They went to the bridge over the river Hisna in the village. From there they may have to go down or fall into the river for some reason.

Unable to find them at home or in the surrounding, relatives and locals started searching in the village ponds and rivers. Their bodies were found under the bridge at around 12:30 pm at one stage of the search as there was not much water in the river.
