Transfer of government primary school teachers has been stopped during the ongoing coronavirus infection.
The Department of Primary Education has sent a letter to the Divisional Deputy Directors of the Department of Primary Education with this instruction. However, transfers of Government College and secondary teachers and upazila secondary education officers continue.
The order, signed by Khaled Ahmed, director (policy and operations) of the Department of Primary Education, said primary schools across the country were closed due to coronavirus infection. In this situation, it would be appropriate to stop all kinds of transfer activities of teachers.
Meanwhile, the admission process of government primary school teachers has been stopped for the last two years. Preparations are underway to recruit teachers online. The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has informed that the transfer of teachers will be modernized from next year.
