Due to the continuous outbreak of Corona, three district of Khulna Division have come under red zone. The districts are Kushtia Magura and Khulna.
The red zone mapping areas of these districts will be under normal holiday.
Of the districts, Kushtia was brought under the red zone in last Monday night. Magura and Khulna were brought last night (June 23). The Ministry of Public Administration issued an order declaring a general holiday in these red zones districts.
According to health department, a total of 434 corona patients have been identified in Kushtia till June 23. This number is 1113 in Khulna and 69 in Magura.
Earlier on Sunday, 26 areas in 10 districts were listed as red zones and 12 areas in five districts were declared as red zones on Monday.
Ministry of Public Administration has declared these areas as red zones to control the movement/livelihood of the people considering the ongoing risk of the disease under the Act of prevention and control of Corona infection. Holiday was also announced. This holiday will include weekly leave.
The term of the red zone will be 21 days from the date of announcement.
According to the order, general holidays will be effective only in areas declared red zone.
This leave will be applicable to all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, statutory and non-government offices / institutions / organizations residing in the area declared in the Red Zone.
This leave will also apply to all Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous, Semi-Autonomous, Statutory and Private Offices / Institutions / Institutions located in the Red Zone declared area and to the officers and employees residing in other areas. The notification also said that the emergency services will be excluded from the general holiday.
The government has identified the most affected areas as red, the least affected areas as yellow and the least affected areas as green zones. The red zone is being locked down, there is a general holiday. Steps are being taken to prevent further infections in the Yellow Zone. There will be caution in the green zone as well.
