Three-day long Agricultural Fair – 2023 has been inaugurated in Kushtia’s Kumarkhali to modernize and revolutionise agriculture. Upazila Agriculture Extension Department organised the fair at the local Abul Hossain Tarun Auditorium premises on Thursday at 10 am.
Barrister Salim Altaf, Member of Parliament for Kushtia-4 Constituency was the inaugural and the chief guest.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Bitan Kumar Mondal, Deputy Director of Kushtia Agricultural Extension Directorate was present as a special guest. Hayat Mahamud, Kumarkhali Municipality Mayor Samchuzzaman Arun and others.
Member of Parliament Barrister Salim Altaf George visited the stalls of the fair after the opening ceremony.
According to the organizers of the fair, the agricultural fair has been organized in the financial year 2022-23 under the agricultural development project of Greater Kushtia and Jessore region. At least 30 stalls have been placed in the fair.
