The stocks of Covid-19 vaccine is towards the end in Kushtia.

District health sources said there are about 7 thousand dose of vaccine is stocked in the district till April 27 which perhaps will continue1/2 days.

If there is no new dose, then the vaccination activities will be stopped, said HM Anwarul Islam Civil Surgeon of Kushtia.

The first dose of vaccine has already stopped.

The Civil surgeon said an average of 2,000 to 3,000 people are vaccinated every day in the district. So the stock usually get end after vaccinating in April 28 and 29.

He fears that the activities may be stopped from next week.

Dr. Anwarul said, they will actually get corona vaccine automatically. For this, don’t need to send separate demand to government. The vaccine will be supplied on the availability verifying population, online registration and other information.

The civil surgeon hopes that the vaccine will be available in the country within the next one week. Activities may be closed during this time.

According to the official Facebook page of Kushtia district administration, 67,486 people have been vaccinated with the first dose in the district till April 25. The first dose of vaccine is then closed.

Then, 32,937 people have taken the second dose till April 26.
