The Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education issued the order on Tuesday (November 23).

According to the order Professor Dr. Ahsan Habib  of Jashore Government Women’s College has been appointed as chairman and Professor Abdul Khaleq, Principal of Shaheed AHM Kamaruzzaman Government Degree College, Rajshahi has become the Secretary of the Board.

Meanwhile, in the same letter, the incumbent Chairman of the Board Professor Dr. Mollah Amir Hossain and Secretary Professor AMH Ali R Reza have been made OSD for their alleged embezzling seven crore taka through 37 checks in different times.

According to the letter, the first case of fraud was found on October 8. Then one by one the issue of embezzling seven crore taka from the board through 36 checks came out.

The Education Board authority formed a committee on October 9 to investigate the incident.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Jashore office in its investigation also found the misappropriation. It also filed several cases against the accused.
