The grand finale of vocal music competition realty show with the theme of Fifty Years of Victory, usher a New Hope for Kushtia.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid MP was present as chief guest at the grand finale held at Kushtia Shilpokola Academy Auditorium on Friday night.
Kushtia District Administration and Kushtia Shilpokala Academy organized the event on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of Independence.
Organisers said that this is the first time that such a competition was held in a district town outside the capital. This competition has been held in different phases for about 9 months. Hundreds of contestants took part in it. After the selection of top 10, finally three contestants emerge in the grand finale. Molla Ashiqur Rahman Rial took the first place among them. Sanjida Arfi Alfi was selected as the first runner-up and Sadia Iqbal Aranya was selected as the second runner-up.
After announcing the results, State Minister KM Khalid handed over the prizes to the winners.
The Minister in his speech expressed his enthusiasm for such an event. He says it is Kushtia that is extremely fit for such event. Kushtia is a brand of cultural hub. He expressed his hope that he would like to organise a cultural programme called Kushtia Evening in Dhaka.
Deputy Commissioner of Kushtia Mohammad Saidul Islam presided over the event.
Lawmaker of Kushtia-1 AKM Sarwar Jahan Badsha, lawmaker Barrister Salim Altaf George of Kushtia-4 , Chairman of Kushtia Zilla Parishad also Kushtia District Awami League President Sadar Uddin Khan, Kushtia Superintendent of Police Md. Khairul Alam, AL Kushtia unit general secretary Asgor Ali, President of Kushtia Chamber Haji Rabiul Islam present there as special guests

Five contestants participated in the finale stage of the competition. The first winner was given a check of Tk 50,000, a gold medal and a crest. Besides, the second winner received a check of Tk 25,000, a silver medal, a crest and the third winner received a check of Tk. 15,000, a bronze medal and a crest.
