Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exam results are now published. The average pass rate this year is apparently 85.95 per cent.
The Prime Minister announced the results of this exam by pressing the computer button at around 12:15 PM on Wednesday.
Education Minister Dipu Moni handed over a copy of the exam results to the Prime Minister at around 11:30 PM. Deputy Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury was with him at that time. Later, the chairmen of various boards handed over copies of the results to the Prime Minister. The ceremony was held at the Chameli Hall of the Prime Minister's Office.
HSC and equivalent exams started on November 6 last year. The total number of examinees under 11 education boards including 9 General Education Boards, Madrasas and Technical Boards was a little over 12 lakhs.
