A social harmony meeting held in Kushtia vow to work to maintain human harmony with all classes of people of the society at any cost. Speakers said the peaceful coexistence of all human being and strong harmony among them is the characteristic Bengali nation from time immemorial.
People of different religions and socio-political leaders of the district participated in the meeting held on Thursday afternoon at Kushtia District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium.
Kushtia district administration organized the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner of Kushtia Saidul Islam presided over the rally.

Rabiul Islam, Superintendent of police in Kushtia Khairul Alam, Deputy Director of Local Government in Kushtia, Arifuzzaman, President of Kushtia Nagorik Committee Professor Dr. SM Mustanzid, Kushtia Judge Court GP Akhtaruzzaman Masum, Kumarkhali Municipality Mayor Shamsuzzaman Arun, BMA Kushtia District Branch General Secretary Dr. Aminul Haque Ratan, freedom fighter Haji Rafiqul Alam Tuku, General Secretary of Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Okyia Parishad Jaydev Kumar Biswas, President of Kushtia Press Club Al Mamun Sagar, president of Kushtia Press Club KPC Rashedul Islam Biplob.
Speakers said there is no shortage of communal harmony in the country at this moment. It must be held. Because the development of the country is the last thing. This harmony must be maintained to maintain the ongoing trend of development and accelerate it further.
Calling on the people of all religions to maintain the overall law and order situation in the district around the upcoming Durga Puja, the speakers said, Bangladesh is a role model of communal harmony. Everyone should be careful that no one can create an unstable environment.
