After a closure of 15 days, the shopping, business and trade again opened up in Kushtia.
The decision was taken at a meeting in presence of higher level business leaders in the district. The meeting was held at the business chamber of Haji Rabiul Islam, President of The Kushtia Chamber of Commerce and Industries on July 7.
The business leaders after the decision of opening market also talked to the Deputy Commissioner Aslam Hossain.
Prominent businessman AMM Roknuzzaman Nantu, director of the chamber told that the decision was taken to open the shop from 10 am to 6.00 pm on Wednesday, subject to the permission of the deputy commissioner and in compliance with the health rules.
However, traders must abide by strict rules and regulations. The business leader said that various restrictions will be imposed everywhere.
Due to the continuous outbreak of corona, the government brought the three districts of Khulna division under the declared red zone. The districts are Kushtia, Magura and Khulna. The red zone mapping areas of these districts are brought under normal holiday.
Kushtia was brought under the red zone on the night of 21st July. Magura and Khulna were brought June 23.
At night, the Ministry of Public Administration issued an order declaring a general holiday in these red zones.
