Finally the autocratic regime of Sheikh Hasina has fallen. She has resigned from the post of Prime Minister and left Bangladesh.
Today, Monday at 2:30 PM, a military helicopter departed from Bangabhaban carrying Sheikh Hasina. Her younger sister, Sheikh Rehana, was with her at the time. According to related sources, they are heading to West Bengal, India.
A report by the Times of India stated that she has left Dhaka for a safe location, but did not specify the destination. Reuters, citing an anonymous source, reported that Sheikh Hasina and her sister have been taken to a ‘safe haven’ away from the official residence. It is currently unclear where Sheikh Hasina is.
