Members of Sawpna Prayas distributed 1000 saplings in the 2nd phase. On Wednesday (July 29), they distributed saplings in different places of Kushtia town throughout the day.
Earlier, on February 21, 2019, Sawpna Prayas started planting more than one lakh tree in a target to complete by 2021. The programme was inaugurated by the Sammilito Samajik Jote chairman and chief adviser of the Sawpana Proyas renowned writer and researcher also editor and publisher of Bangla daiky The Dainik Kushtia and English Weekly The Kushtia Times Dr. Amanur Aman.
After that, the organization has been planting saplings at its own expense in different places of Haripur and the city, including Kushtia Gorai River.
Following this, the organization has continued planting tree ahead of the Mujib Centenary.
President of Swapna Prayas Sadiq Hasan Rahid, Vice President Farsa Nahar Naushi, General Secretary Meherab Hasan Mushfiq, Rahul Rahman, Robin, Chamak, Rabbi were present during the distribution of trees.
