The war started will also stop but for this Ukraine will have to accept some conditions. The war will remain only if the conditions are accepted, Russia says it.
Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary and Spokesman of the Russian President's Office, Kremlin, gave this information at a press conference organized there on Thursday.
On the other hand, Ukraine is also talking about stopping the war with several conditions.
Among Russia's conditions is to recognize the four former Ukrainian provinces of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia as Russian territory, and to withdraw its claims to the Crimean peninsula.
Peskov said, "The sooner the government of Ukraine is ready to accept our demands, the sooner this (war) will end and the people of Ukraine will be free from this tragedy and start their lives anew." That's what we want.'
"This war started because of Ukraine. The end of the war depends on the decision of the government of that country.'
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelensky also offered a 10-point peace proposal; But the first condition of that proposal is that all the territories occupied by the Russian forces in Ukraine should be returned to the country and the Russian troops should be withdrawn.
Volodymyr Zelensky said that they want to take over all the lands of Ukraine under the control of Russia. In the continuation of that, he announced to re-incorporate Crimea, which disappeared through a referendum in 2014, into Ukraine. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Zelensky also said, "Our goal is to liberate all the occupiers of our territory."
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to sit for talks. This invitation was given in a letter written to Xi Jinping in view of the one-year anniversary of the Russian operation in Ukraine. Al-Jazeera news.
Zelensky's wife, Olena Zelenska, said on Wednesday that the letter was handed over to the Chinese delegation at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Zelensky has repeatedly tried to contact Xi Jinping since the start of Russian operations in Ukraine in February last year. His hope is that Beijing will be able to influence Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Zelenska told reporters that a courtesy letter had been sent to invite her to sit in the dialogue. He expressed great hope that there will be a response to this invitation.
Before Russian President Putin ordered the operation in Ukraine in February last year, China and Russia had previously declared a 'boundless' partnership. Beijing has been showing a neutral position in the Ukraine war. At the same time, China is deepening its relations with Moscow. The relationship between the two countries is deepening especially in the energy sector.
But some analysts say China could eventually act as a mediator in talks to end fighting in Ukraine.
