RAB has arrested Mohammad Shahed alias Shahed Karim, chairman of the Fugitive Regent Hospital, from Debhata border in Satkhira for a week in a case of fraud and forgery in the name of medical treatment.
Senior ASP Bazlur Rashid, commander of RAB-7's Satkhira camp, said he was arrested with a pistol from the banks of the Labangbati river in Komarpur village on the Debhata border around 5:30 am on Wednesday.
Lieutenant Colonel Ashiq Billah, director of the RAB’s law and media branch, said, “Shahed was trying to flee to India. And if it was a little late, he might not be found. He is being brought to Dhaka by helicopter. ”
