Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) anticipated rain or thundershowers in many divisions, which includes Dhaka, in the 24 hours starting from 9:00 am Tuesday.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at a few places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," supposed a recent bulletin of the Met office.
The weather office documented the highest, 48mm rainfall in Patuakhali.
In the meantime, a minor heatwave is sweeping over the Khulna division and Rajshahi district, and it may continue ultimately.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country, as said in the bulletin.
The country's highest temperature was noted at 37.6 degrees Celsius in Jashore while the lowest temperature was recorded at 23.5 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur and Chattogram's Kutubdia.
In addition, a low-pressure area spans Bangladesh's southwest from West Bengal in India to North Bay. Across Bangladesh, the monsoon is fairly active, whilst, across North Bay, it is weak to moderate.
