A pregnant woman has died in Corona (Covid-19) in Magura. She lost her breath at Enam Medical College in Savar on Monday (July 8) morning. She was seven months pregnant.
On July 1, Magura health department collected samples of the woman and her father. On July 3, both of them tested positive.
Meanwhile, the woman was admitted to Magura sadar hospital. After her condition deteriorated, she was admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. She was later admitted to Enam Medical in Savar on the night of July 3 for better treatment. She died on Monday morning while undergoing treatment there.
Magura Civil Surgeon Pradeep Kumar Saha confirmed the death, adding that so far the death toll from corona in the district has risen to five.
As of Sunday, 52 of the 18 patients identified as corona in Magura.
