Initiatives have been taken to establish police schools and colleges in divisional cities.
Bangladesh Police Inspector General Benazir Ahmed (IGP) has directed the establishment of eight schools and colleges (residential / non-residential) in eight divisional cities of the country.
He told it a function was organized at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh on Wednesday morning. The keynote speaker was Additional IGP (HRM) of Police Headquarters SM Ruhul Amin.
It is known that there are police lines schools in almost every district. There is a college somewhere. These are running as private institutions.
The opinion of the police officers of each department will be taken in this regard.
The function was organized by the Education Branch of the Police Headquarters. Officials from DMP constables to Deputy Commissioners of Police expressed their views on the establishment of schools and colleges.
The police headquarters DIG (Welfare) Bashir Uddin Ahmed, DMP Additional Commissioner of Police (Logistics, Finance and Procurement) Saleh Mohammad Tanvir PPM and other police officials were present.
