The plan to increase the number of classes in the New Year has been stepped, said the Minister of Education Dipu Moni.
“At first, when the situation was very good, Omicron was not heard of,” she said. For this we planned to increase the New Year classes. The plan has been put on hold at the moment.
The minister made the remarks while inspecting the HSC examination center at Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College in the capital on Thursday (December 2) morning.
At the time, Minister thanked the Election Commission and said, we have an exam on 23rd December. There is also an election date on that day.
That's what we told them. Later, the Election Commission postponed that date. Thus we are working in coordination with both sides.
Replying to a question on MPO registration, the minister said, “Applications for MPO registration are barely being accepted.” This is a long process. I hope that as many institutions as are considered worthy, everyone will get benefit. Because even after being qualified, someone will get it, someone will not get it, that will not be right.
The Minister was accompanied by Mahbub Hossain, Secretary, Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Syed Golam Faruk, Chairman, Department of Secondary and Higher Education, and Professor Nehal Ahmed, Chairman, Dhaka Board of Education.
