The per capita income of the country has increased to 2227 dollars that is one lakh 88 thousand 873 in Taka (84.81 taka per dollar). That’s up 163 from last fiscal year. Last fiscal year (2019-20) was 2,064 dollars.
Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam told a press briefing that the per capita income has increased by 9 per cent. Although the statistics are not final yet. An initial account has been given by the finance department.
