The pass rate of SSC examination in Jashore secondary and higher secondary education Board has decreased this year. However, this year the number of GPA-5 has increased compared to last year.
This year it is 6. 31 percent. Which is about 3 percent less than last year. Total 13 thousand 84 students got GPA-5 in the board.
According to the Board office, this year, 1,60,835 students from 2,521 schools in 10 districts of Khulna Division took part in the examination. Of them, 70,309 were male students and 60,326 were female students. Of the students, 36,046 from the science department, 98,006 from the humanities department and 26,601 from the commerce trade took part in the examination.
Meanwhile, Professor Madhav Chandra Rudra, Controller of Examinations of the Board told that the results have been good.
He said although the pass rate is 3 percent less than last year, it is due to the low number of candidates.
Besides, 100 percent students from 250 institutions have passed in the Board this year. However, there are two institutions where no one has passed. The two institutions are Kalaroa Shaheed Smriti Girls’ School and Debhata Dhapukhali High School in Satkhira.
