One person died due to corona in Meherpur, while 31 more infected in Chuadanga.
Yusuf Ali, 65, died with coronavirus in Baman Para of Meherpur town. He was being treated at his home. He died on Monday morning.
Meherpur Civil Surgeon Dr Nasir Uddin said Yusuf Ali was diagnosed with Covid-19 positive on July 18. His house was locked down and he was kept in home isolation.
With this, the number of deaths due to corona virus in Meherpur district stood at 7. The total number of Corona infected in the district is 133.
On the other hand, 31 people, including a doctor, have been infected with coronavirus in Chuadanga. The number of victims in the district stood at 400. Of these, 228 have recovered and 5 have died.
Chuadanga Civil Surgeon ASM Maruf Hasan on Monday morning confirmed the matter. He told that in the last 24 hours, reports of 71 samples have been received from the PCR lab of Kushtia Medical College Hospital.
Of these, 31 corona have been identified. Among the victims are 18 from Chuadanga municipal area, 23 from Sadar upazila, 3 from Alamdanga upazila and 5 from Damurhuda upazila.
At present, 26 people are being treated in the isolation ward of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital and 138 in home isolation. There are 14 people in the institutional quarantine and 596 people in the home quarantine.
