Police arrested Tamizuddin Mandal (60) for raping a next door schoolgirl at Mirpur Paschimpara village of Chandpur union of Kumarkhali upazila.
A court sent him to jail.
According to the complaint, the 8th grader girl went out home to respond to the call of nature on October 24 at 8 pm. Tahajuddin grabbed the girl and took away in a bush. He raped the girl. At one stage, the girl cried for help. The alleged rapist fled when people forwarded hearing the girl’s cry. A case was field.
Police investigated and found the matter true. Police arrested him.
Kumarkhali Police Station OC Mujibur Rahman said the court sent Tamizuddin to jail.
