General holidays are soon again being announced in educational institutions throughout the month of August.
Work has already begun on shortening the syllabus with a possible target to reopen the educational institutions in September or mid-September.
It has been informed that the syllabus will be revised keeping in view the issue of acquiring knowledge according to the age and class of the students.
Holidays are already in functional in all educational institutions till August 6. Besides, the HSC exam which was scheduled to be held in March this year could not be started due to Corona.
Though PEC-Ibtedai and JSC-JDC examinations are scheduled to be held in November, these examinations may be postponed. Educational institutions are not opening soon as virus infections and deaths continue. If the Corona situation is not somewhat normal, there are also alternative options to extend the academic year by two months if it cannot open in September.
According to the sources of Ministry of Education and Primary and Mass Education.
When asked, Akram-al-Hossain, senior secretary at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, told to the media that the situation is not conducive for the opening of educational institutions. Even it maybe not before September.
He said the syllabus and curriculum are being reviewed in preparation for the start of formal studies from September. The syllabus is being shortened considering the working day. The National Academy of Primary Education (NEP) is working on this.
However, he said that it will be informed before Eid whether the holiday will increase after August 6.
However, the government is more concerned about the safety of students than the education environment in the country. On the other hand, educational institutions are closed all over the world. Various government sources think that there is no place to be so worried in this country.
