Newly appointed IU VC paid homage to Bangabandhu’s tomb

The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Kushtia Islamic University (IU) has paid homage to the tomb of Founder Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Saturday (10 October).

The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Md. Dr. Shahinur Rahman, Bangabandhu Parishad IU unit Vice-President Professor Dr. Jahangir Hossain, General Secretary Prof. Mahbubal Arfin, Vice-President Shamsul Islam Zoha, Joint-General Secretary Mir Morshedur Rahman.

After paying homage to the Vice Chancellor, tributes were also paid on behalf of Islamic University Bangabandhu Parishad, Officers Association and Bangladesh Inter-University Officers Federation.

Professor. Sheikh Abdus Salam was appointed as the 13th Vice Chancellor of the Islamic University on 30 September. On October 4, he came to the university campus and started his works.
