Bangladesh Bank will issue new notes of Taka from Sunday (26th July). However, considering the health risks, this new notes will not be exchanged among the general people on Eid-ul-Adha. It will be released through banks.
New notes will be released through banks, so there will be more demand of Tk.1000 and Tk.500. In that case the demand for new notes of Tk 100 and below will not be much.
Inflation usually rises when the central bank issues new notes and releases them to the market. However, central bank officials say that the release of notes before Eid and the withdrawal of the same number of old notes from the market will not put any additional pressure on inflation.
