Professor Nakib Mohammad Nasrullah, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Dhaka University, has been appointed as the 14th Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Islamic University, Kushtia.
This information was announced today, Monday (September 23), in a notice signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Shahinur Islam, under the President's orders.
He has been appointed as thes Vice-Chancellorha (VC) for the next four years. A new VC has came into the position after nearly a month and a half after it became vacant.
The notice stated that, with the approval of the President and Chancellor, Professor Nakib Mohammad Nasrullah of Dhaka University’s Law Department has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University under Section 10(1) of the Islamic University Act, 1980.
He will be residing full-time on the university campus as the chief executive officer of the university.
The President and Chancellor can revoke this appointment at any time if necessary.
He was previously a teacher in Dhaka University's Law Department. He began his teaching career by joining Islamic University as a lecturer.
