More 40 corona (Covid) patients were identified in Kushtia on July 10. Now the total number of Corona victims in 6 upazilas of the district is 919. Kushtia is now in second position among 10 districts in Khurna division. First is Khulna.
So far 11030 samples have been tested till the working of PCR lab inaugurated in Kushtia.
A total of 245 samples (Kushtia 102, Chuadanga 52, Jhenaidah 36, Meherpur 18, Narail 37) were tested on July 10 in the PCR lab of Kushtia Medical College. Forty out of 102 were found to be corona positive in Kushtia.
Of the patients, 28 new were of Kushtia Sadar Upazila, 5 in Daulatpur, 3 in Kumarkhali Upazila, 1 in Khoksa and 3 in Mirpur Upazila.
Among other districts, 14 new corona patients have been identified in Chuadanga district, 11 in Jhenaidah district, 1 in Meherpur district and 12 in Narail district. Besides, follow-up reports of 1 person from Narail district, 1 person from Meherpur district and 1 person from Jhenaidah district are positive.
