More 39 people have been infected with corona in the last 24 hours in Kushtia. The total number of corona patients in the district till the evening of June 26 stood at 538.

Tapas Kumar Sarkar, Resident Medical Officer (RMO), Kushtia General Hospital, said a total of 261 samples were tested on June 26 at the PCR lab of Kushtia Medical College.

Of these, 162 were from Kushtia district.

Of these, 39 have been newly identified as infected. Besides, the follow-up report of 6 people has been positive.

Among the new victims, 6 are in Daulatpur of Kushtia district, 23 in Sadar upazila, 5 in Kumarkhali and 3 in Mirpur.
