More 26 people were affected by Corona in last 24 hours in Kushtia. The report is available on Kushtia Deputy Commissioner’s Face Book page on July 2.
With this, the total number of victims by the virus in 6 upazilas in the district stood at 682.
Residential Medical Officer (RMO) of Kushtia General Hospital Tapash Kumar Sarkar said a total of 367 samples (Kushtia 138, Chuadanga 48, Jhenaidah 51, Meherpur 19, Narail 110, Gopalganj 1, Jessore 1) were tested at the PCR lab of Kushtia Medical College on July 2.
Of these, corona positive was found in 26 people of Kushtia.
Bedsides, 30 new corona patients have been identified in Narail district, 6 in Chuadanga, 6 in Meherpur, 12 in Jhenaidah and 1 in Gopalganj district. The rest of the results are negative.
Among the victims in Kushtia, 19 new corona patients have been identified in Kushtia Sadar Upazila, 1 in Kumarkhali Upazila, 3 in Daulatpur Upazila, 2 in Khoksa Upazila and 1 in Mirpur Upazila.
Kushtia is now is being termed as a hot bed of Corona breeding. Almost every day, people are being identified here as corona infected.
The district administration, meanwhile has taken several steps to check the virus. Now around 21 areas of the district are under lockdown.
