Mild cold wave is going on in two districts of the country. The two districts are Chuadanga and Rajshahi.
This is the first cold spell of the season.
A mild cold has been lashing the southwestern district of Chuadanga for three days where the lowest temperature in the country has been recorded in this district so far.
Chuadanga recorded the country's lowest temperature of 9.3 degrees Celsius at 9:30 am on Saturday. Rakibul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Chuadanga Meteorological Office, confirmed the matter. The temperature in Chuadonga was 9.5 on Friday.
Rajshahi recorded a temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius on Friday. The temperature is 10.0 on Saturday.
Moderate to heavy fog in two districts and light to moderate fog in other parts of the country since last night due to temperature effect. At the same time, the severity of winter has increased.
Meteorological officer Rakibul Hasan said this trend may continue for another two days.
He said that several cold fronts are forecast ahead.
Cold weather has affected public life in Chuadanga. Even though the sun appeared in the morning, the intensity of winter increased several times. Because the sun’s bite is not enough strong.
According to sources at the district Sadar hospital, there has been an increase in children and diarrhea patients.
Resident doctor of the hospital Sajjat Hasan said that every day 50-60 patients are being admitted to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital suffering from diarrhea, respiratory problems and cold related diseases.
