The historic March 7 is now National Historic Day. The cabinet has approved such a decision. Every year March 7 will be celebrated as National Historic Day. At the same time, mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, founder father of the nation will be erected in every upazila of the country.
The cabinet secretary Khandaker Anwar told it to the reporters. The approval was given at a virtual cabinet meeting on Monday morning. The Prime Minister attended the cabinet meeting via video conference from Ganobhaban and other cabinet members were present in the Cabinet meeting room of the Secretariat. 'The proposal came from the Ministry of Culture. In the wake of a writ petition in the High Court, one of the two decisions was to declare March 7 as National Historic Day and the other was to erect a mural of Bangabandhu in every upazila.
The secretary said, 'Bangabandhu's speech on March 7 is the main motivation for the independence of this country. Recognizing it as a World Heritage Site, UNESCO has already included the speech.
