Police have arrested a smuggler along with 11 kg and 500 grams of Indian sliver bar. He was arrested on Sunday (November 8) morning from Bagamchara Jiblitala area of ​​Sharsha upazila of Jashore.

The arrested Ali Hossain is the son of Abdul Khaleq of Jafarpur Tulsidanga village under Kalaroa police station in Satkhira.

Uttam Kumar Biswas, in-charge of the Bagamchara police investigation center, said the raid was carried out on a paved road in Bagamchara Jibalitala on reports that goods had been smuggled in from India. Ali Hossain was arrested along with 11 kg and 500 grams of silver. He said a case has been filed with Sharsha police station in this regard.
