Mahbubul Alam Hanif is a name, an institution, a torch bearer of humanity, a dedicated votary of the country, of people. He is now an MP and the joint general secretary of Awami League. A soldier of Bangabandhu’s ideals and a hallowed personality glorified with the sense of freedom fight, he treads on refulgent road of development-rose, scattering fragrance of thousands of flowers. He is the man whose very nature is to flood everybody with sweet hearty smile. Crimson salute with rosy ovation is for him.
The district of Kushtia is a name glorified, celebrated and worshiped. No other district in the whole world possesses so many erudite and talented persons, literary giants and journalists, religious and political leaders; educationists and devotees as Kushtia does. I bow to this soil and mother unconditional, unhesitating. Dauntless I cherish to utter –

Grace-produced of Padma-Gorai Kushtia has been slighted since the inception of Pakistani regime. Kushtia, though not district still, before this regime was the possessor of colorful magnificence. But later on, no remarkable progress was noticed. After the emergence of independent Bangladesh except some irregular developments, total balanced gradual development could not be visible though there were some heavy weight leaders of Kushtia in government then.
In the National Assembly election of 2014 the leader of the country and people honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave Mr. Mahbubul Alam Hanif nomination for Kushtia constituency. Mr. Mahbubul Alam Hanif proved his popularity and worth, became an honorable Member of Parliament. Prime Minister was happy and we were glad to have him as our guardian- sympathetic, trusted and devoted. Mr. Hanif is a man of positive politics, positive change and positive ideology. Dormant youthful Kushtia cast her eyes, for the first time, at the rising, radiant sun. She realized with pleasure it is time for her to be decorated with beauty, grace and smell with the magical touch of the touchstone, the valiant, mobilizing leadership of the time.
So the whole of Kushtia is embellished today with multifarious colors–hoping to be a city of incomparable beauty.
Bangladesh emerged as a country of democracy, secularism. But these ideals were distorted in later periods. The national elections of 2008, 2014 and 2019 brought consecutive tremendous victory for Awami league. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina promised to bring back the lost glory and ideals of Bangladash as well as to run the country ahead facing the challenges of new era, new decade. It was her determination and promise to materialize the dreams of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to make Bangladesh a ‘Sonar Bangla’- Bengal of Gold. As a result of it she chose Mr. Mahbubul Alam Hanif MP as the savior of Kushtia district.

Glad I am mother to love thee’’
As kushtia was deprived of what she was expected to have much earlier, so taking the office as an MP, he offered all his efforts, devotion to serve not only his own constituency but also the whole of Kushtia. I would like to quote from the historical 7th March speech of great leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman- ‘you can`t suppress us anymore.” It is true with Mr. Mahbubul Alam Hanif MP’S very appearance all obstacles were removed. Really no one or nothing could resist his vigorous hands, development works, improving law and order situation. Kushtia is now the name of a locality free from hunger, poverty, drug, terrorism and militancy. She was declared as a beggar free city.
Mr. Mahbubul Alam Hanif MP established our long cherished Medical College Hospital. For better and easier treatment of the patients he arranged modern medical facilities in Kushtia Sadar Hospital as are the dreams and initiatives of Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina.
To establish communication with all other regions within and outer side of Kushtia he made almost all alleys and ways repaired and constructed. Construction of Sheikh Russel Kushtia-Haripur connecting Bridge over the river Padma to connect Kushtia sadar and Haripur is one of his great services to the suffering people and for this the suffering people of Kushtia are thankful to him. Opening of Kushtia bypass road is another important successful mission he operated to minimize the traffic jam of Kushtia town and also to make uninterrupted and easy communication between North Bengal and South Bengal. Honorable MP made a legendary history by making Kushtia–Rajbari Mahasadak and Kushtia- Shelaidah sadak. As an experienced leader, he realized the importance and necessity of IT. So he established an IT park beside Kushtia Medical College Hospital. By this time the young girls and boys are getting interested in IT matters and benefited from these activities. Once a poor family is now running a solvent life due to this outsourcing or freelancing which will contribute to hunger and poverty alleviation and the formation of sustainable development of the country. We have vision 2021 to make a sustainable developing country and vision 2041 ahead to establish a complete developed country.
To ensure female education and women empowerment honorable leader is working relentlessly. In the meantime in Kushtia Govt. Mohila College premises he sanctioned a modern water filter for the students for safe drinking water. Honorable PM Sir very recently inaugurated a 10th floor – building at Kushtia Govt. College for academic purposes which are indicative of his education – friendly mentality.
The constitution of Bangladesh has four fundamental principles – democracy, socialism, nationality and secularism – which will protect every nation, every caste and creed, every culture etc. within the country. After the killing of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his daughter Sheikh Hasina, Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh, is carrying on those principles very honestly and sincerely as a result of which communal conflict in Bangladesh is no more. This breeze of peace and harmony is imitable and exemplary. As an ideal leader as well as the joint secretary of the party Awami League, he continues the practice of keeping harmonious relation among different castes and creeds. He will build in his own district Kushtia the largest mosque for the Muslims Kushtia has ever experienced and for the Hindu community a very large multi floored temple. In body and mind he is a non-communal person.
Terrorism, extortion, kidnapping, sexual harassment, militancy- all these negative evil practices are reduced to almost zero level.Making Kushtia an ideal habitable place is his oath, his promise and-‘then I’ll be a history’- to say in the language of juvenile poet Sukant Bhattacharya. Surely corruption will one day in near future cease to exist in Kushtia and Bangladesh as well. It is his success that as much he loves the leaders and workers of the party, they also reciprocate it. Our poet laureate Rabindranath Tagore dreamt of such a leader which, we see reflected in one of his songs-

He is honored in return.
For the total development of Kushtia district he visits and takes care of government and non-government institutions insistently.
Another lucrative development work of his is shifting the public library from the din and bustle of Kushtia town to a tranquil, serene and study-friendly atmosphere in a well decorated magnificent building. The regular readers feel happy to go there and enjoy reading.
The way he is running with the people of this dark soil blowing the breeze of peace and co-existence, like the cloud of the rains, spreading the message of development in totality has made us grateful to him. We salute you, leader. In the conclusion I would like to quote-
