Life is worth more than livelihood, Says Hanif in Kushtia

The Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League also lawmaker of Kushtia-3 constituency Mahbubul Alam Hanif said life is worth more than livelihood. We first need to live. We have to live not only for us, also for our own foamily and society. We have to encourage the people by this way as the honourable Prime Minister asserted.

Hanif told it during in a view exchange meeting on overall corona situation in the district and corona treatment at Kushtia General Hospital.

The meeting was held at today (Wednesday) in the conference room of the hospital.

Hanif is also president at the management committee of the hospital.

Kushtia General Hospital Superintendent Abdul Momen presided over the meeting.

Hanif was briefed on overall corona situation in Kushtia and its entire management in the district. He looked for how many doctors and other staffs are working and how much medical facilities are there. He also looked for how much medical facilities the patients are getting there.

Hanif called for vigilance to ensure that no corona patient dies due to lack of treatment or any type of malpractice by anyone. He insisted on considering the corona patient from a humanitarian ground.

Hanif emphasizes on how mass people can be more aware on Coronavirus and its prevention.

He called upon the district administration to take steps to create this feeling among the common people that life is worth more than livelihood. He said all cooperation of the government has been extended.

He said the Prime Minister has taken all steps in this regard.

Among others, lawmaker of Kushtia-4 Barrister Selim Altaf George, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kushtia Mohammad Saidul Islam, Kushtia Zilla Parishad Chairman Haji Rabiul Islam, Police Superintendent of Kushtia Khairul Alam, Civil Surgeon Dr. HM Anwarul Islam, Kushtia District Awami League general Secretary Bir Muktijoddha Azgar Ali, Sadar Upazila Chairman Ataur Rahman Ata, BMA President Dr SM Mustanjid and specialist doctors of the hospital attended the event.
