Department of Narcotics Control in Kushtia arrested an owner of a pharmacy with drugs on Wednesday in the town.
According to source, a team of the Narcotics raided at Russel Pharmacy in front of Kushtia general hospital in the town. Owner of the pharmacy Russel was detained along with 1636 pieces of Tapenta tablets, 10 bottles of Phensidyl and 5 lakh 97 thousand taka in cash.
It is suspected that the money was obtained from drug sales.
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Jubayer Hossain Chowdhury conducted the anti-drug campaign.
