Kushtia municipality Mayor Anwar Ali has won his battle against Coronavirus.
On Sunday he has joined to his workplace Kushtia Municipality. There, the officials and employees of the municipality greeted him with flowers.
Anwar Ali, 75 is the name of a chapter in the politics of Kushtia. He was one of the leaders in this district from the language movement to the great liberation war. He has won over the common people of this district with his honesty, devotion and loveless personality. This cultured and open-minded politician has contributed from the local level to the national level.
He has been working mayor of the municipality for 16 consecutive years. He held several posts including general secretary of district Awami League at different times.
On August 6, Anwar Ali was diagnosed with coronavirus (Covid-19). The next morning he was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka for advanced treatment. After 10 days of treatment there, he was at home in Dhaka. Last Tuesday he left Dhaka for Kushtia.
During the conversation, the legendary politician told to the Daily Kushtia that corona is not a common viral disease. It is a disease of extreme risk. He urged everyone to tackle the disease consciously.
Rabiul Islam, executive engineer of the municipality, said a lot of work is ahead. The mayor has joined the work and the work has gained momentum again.
