Kushtia Film Society has celebrated the 123rd birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Nazrul was one of the legendary poets of Bengali literature.
Kushtia Film Society organised the programme held at Kheya Restaurant on May. Discussion meeting, documentary and film exhibition was organized.
Prominent Nazrul researcher and principal of Kushtia Government Girls College Professor Shishir Kumar Roy was present as the chief guest at the function presided over by Kushtia Film Society founder and board member Advocate Muhaiminur Rahman Polol and Ajay Maitra, Associate Professor, Department of English of the college was chief discussant.
Shahin Sarkar, Joint General Secretary of Kushtia District Shilpakala Academy, Member Secretary of Kushtia Public Library and Chairman of Sammilita Samajik Jote, eminent writer and researcher Dr. Amanur Aman, Patron of Kushtia Film Society and Professor of Bangla Department of Islamic University Dr. Bakibillah Bekul was spoke tghe event as special guest.
Nazmun Nahar, Senior Joint Convener of Kushtia Film Society and Cultural Secretary of Kushtia Bar Association and AGP Advocate of District Judge's Court gave welcome speech on the occasion.
