Kushtia Deputy Commissioner Aslam Hossain has called for ensuring registration of land free from corruption and suffering. He made the call during a visit to the district registrar’s office on Wednesday.

He visited different rooms of the office and became aware of various problems. He was accompanied by Executive Magistrate Ahmed Sadat.

District Registrar Prabhakar Saha, Sadar Sub-Registrar Subrata Kumar Singh, Kumarkhali Sub-Registrar Makchu Mia, Daulatpur Sub-Registrar Bilkis Ara were present.

He said the documents need to be handed over to the recipients quickly after they are prepared. Care should also be taken to ensure that no client comes to registry the land and becomes a victim of corruption and suffering.

He further said that all the land buyers and sellers can apply for the land registry at the office of the Sub-Registrar for buying and selling land themselves. The Sub-Registrar will check the documents and execute the documents for the land registry. No need to go to a third party.

He urged not to pay extra money anywhere except government fees.
