The Saudi government has instructed to extend the validity of residency permit (ikama) for expatriates in Saudi Arabia for another three months.
At the same time, expatriates currently out of Saudi Arabia will have the opportunity to re-enter the country for free within three months. And those whose visas have expired will be able to return to their home countries after staying there for another three months.
This news has been reported in the Saudi Gazette.
The Saudi Ministry concerned said expatriates or tourists staying in Saudi Arabia whose visas have expired will also be able to stay there for free for up to three months. Expatriates who are unable to return on time due to lockdown will also get this Iqama facility on the instructions of the King of Saudi Arabia.
