Winter clothes have been distributed at the initiative of Khoksa Welfare Association consisting of individuals from Khoksa Upazila living in Kushtia district town.

Kushtia District Awami League President also Khoksa Upazila Chairman Alhaj Sadar Uddin Khan inaugurated the distribution programme held at Khoksa College Auditorium on Saturday (January 9th).

In the presence of a group of talented people of Khoksa, blankets were handed over to about 250 distressed people in an unpretentious atmosphere.

Prominent businessman of Kushtia and treasurer of newly formed committee of Kushtia district Awami League Ajoy Sureka, eminent writer, researcher, editor and publisher of daily Dainik Kushtia and English weekly The Kushtia Times Dr. Amanur Aman, Advocate Siraj Pramanik of Bangladesh Supreme Court and Kushtia Judge Court were present as special guests on the occasion.

President of the association Salauddin Ahmed Batu presided over the event.

Association general secretary also Kushtia Muslim High School teacher Md Masud Rana, Mir Mosharraf Hossain High School teacher Taj Uddin Sheikh, Kushtia Islamia College teacher Habibur Rahman Mintu, Bittu, Murad, Sabur, Sohail Chowdhury, Muktar Hossain were present among others there.
