Kushtia Islamic University (IU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdus Salam has applauded a grant of IU officers for the Corona fund of Prime Minister. He said the grant would be considered very fruitful and humanitarian assistance in the ongoing corona disaster in the country. He said that such an initiative out of responsibility is the recognition of the human qualities of the officials of this university.
He made the remarks while was receiving a check of 5 lakh taka for the grant to his office on Tuesday (October 20th) by the leaders of the Islamic University Officers Association.
He called it exemplary. He said the grant would be handed over to the Prime Minister's Corona Fund in due course.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M Shahinur Rahman was present at the time. He also thanked the officials for providing the grant.
Shamsul Islam Zoha, President of the Officers’ Association, Mir Morshedur Rahman, General Secretary also Secretary General of the Bangladesh Inter-University Officers' Federation handed over the check to the Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the officials of the Islamic University.
Registrar (Charge) SM Abdul Latif, heads of all departments of the administrative unit and leaders of the officers' association and senior officials were present at the occasion.
