Leaders and activists of Islamic University Bangabandhu Parishad wish a healthy and long life to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The wish was made in a statement on the occasion of gruesome August 21.
In a statement, the president of the organization, Professor Dr. Mahbubur Rahman and General Secretary Prof. Dr. Mahbubul Arfin said that the only goal of that terrible grenade attack on August 21 was to kill Sheikh Hasina which was part of the politics of murder, conspiracy and conspiracy of the then BNP-Jamaat alliance government.
They said Sheikh Hasina, the present Prime Minister and the then Leader of the Opposition, survived the monstrous terror that day, but 24 leaders and activists, including Ivy Rahman, the former president of the Bangladesh Mahila Awami League, were killed.
The leaders said that the first blow to democracy in independent Bangladesh came on 15 August 1975. On this day, the great architect of independence, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members had to give their lives prematurely at the hands of anti-independence assassins. Yet the conspiracy of the assassins did not stop. On November 3, 1975, four national leaders were killed inside the jail.
The leaders said that the people of Bengal always dreams of a prosperous Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina will build the country to achieve the goal.
They said Bangladesh must move forward. They also promised that Islamic University Bangabandhu Parishad would work for the development of the country following the foot step of Sheikh Hasina.
