Bangabandhu Gobeshona Sangsad organized a human chain to protest the vandalism of the bust of Biplobi Bagha Jatin, the leader of anti-British movement in front of Kaya College in Kushtia’ss Kumarkhali Upazila on Tuesday.

The programme was held in front of the broken bust of Bagha Jatin.

Former Justice of the Appellate Division Samsuddin Choudhury Manik, Director of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Professor. Dr. Uttam Kumar Barua, Barrister Turin Afroz, President of Kushtia Diabetes Association Matiar Rahman Laltu and others were present.

They strongly condemned the attack on Bagha Jatin’s bust and demanded punishment.

Anisur Rahman, president of Kaya Union Juba League, and his associates vandalized the face and nose of the bust of Bagha Jatin around 12:30 pm on December 16 over local chaos of local politics.

Later, the principal of Kaya College filed a case with the Kumarkhali police station and the police arrested three people, including Kaya Juba League president Anis. All the accused are languishing in jail.
