Home coming day celebrated at Islamic University

The Homecoming Day to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was celebrated at Kushtia Islamic University by paying homage to the mural of “Mrityunjayi Mujib” and arranging storytelling event on Bangabandhu and Liberation War with the next door’s children.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdus Salam paid homage to Mrityunjayi Mujib Mural with pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Shahinoor Rahman.

Leaders of various associations, forums, student organisation of the university were present on the occasion.

On the other hand another programme with the children of next doors titled ‘Listening to the story of Bangabandhu and Liberation War’ started at 3 pm.

Presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, the event was addressed among others by President of Bangla Academy and Islamic University Bangabandhu Chair Professor Shamsuzzaman Khan and pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Shahinoor Rahman.

Children along with their mothers residing at the university campus were present at the storytelling event to hear the struggling biography of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from the Vice-Chancellor and dignitaries.

Later, book on Bangabandhu’s “Prison Diary” was given as a prize among the children present there.
