Hefazat Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haque, while renting a room at the Royal Resort in Sonargaon, Narayanganj, wrote his name and address correctly in the register but hid his partner's name. Although the name of the so-called second wife mentioned as Jannat Ara Jharna, but Amena Taiyeba was mentioned her name in the documents of the resort.
It is known that Amena Taiyeba is the name of Mamunul Haque's first wife. She is the mother of four children.
Narayanganj Additional Superintendent of Police Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the information.
He said, 'We have heard that his (Mamunul) real wife's name is Amena Taiyeba. We are investigating the matter. '
On Saturday (April 3) at around 2 pm, Mamunul drove a white car to the resort. Rented Executive Deluxe (Semi Suite) Room. The rent of these rooms is 10 thousand rupees. With 15 percent VAT and 10 percent service charge is added. However, the resort authorities rented Mamunul Haque at a discount of Tk 7,000.
Resort manager Mohammad Bakul said when receptionists asked Mamunul about the identity of his partner, he said his wife, Amena Taiyeba. Mamunul also submitted a photocopy of his national identity card while renting a room. Hefazat leader rented room number 501 for 12 hours. After staying there for an hour, Mamunul ordered food. Then the commotion started at around 5.30 pm.
When the local youths surrounded Mamunul and asked him one question after another, he introduced the woman as Amena Tayyeba. Said his father-in-law's house is in Khulna, his father-in-law's name is Zahidul Islam. However, the truth of his statement was questioned in the girl's statement. She said her name is Jannat Ara Jharna. Fathers name Olier Rahman. The house is in Alfadanga, Faridpur.
Hefazat leader Mamunul Haque was staying with a woman at a resort in Sonargaon near the capital on Saturday afternoon when some locals, Chhatra League and Juba League leaders and activists surrounded his room. However, Mamunul Haque claimed that the woman was his second wife.
Later, at around 7.15 pm, a group of Hefazat leaders and activists, madrasa students came in a procession and vandalized the resort. They snatched Mamunul away.
