Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi probably will inaugurate the historic Mujibnagar Independence Road (Mujibnagar-Kolkata) on March 26 or 27.

LGRD Minister Tajul Islam said this while inspecting the work of Swadhinata Road in Mujibnagar on Saturday (March 20th).

After the swearing in of the first government exile of Bangladesh on 18 April 1971 at Mujibnagar Amrakan in Meherpur under the then Kushtia district, the road leading from Mujibnagar to India was declared as 'Swadhinata Sarak'.
